Rateriana Iconography
A wedding gift commissioned by friends of the couple, in which their Piccolo Mondo Rotondo is represented. It is a reproduction of the " Rateriana Iconography", the oldest known map of the city of Verona, Italy. The Stone Bridge, portrayed in the centre is the place where the groom asked for the hand of his future bride. The back of the egg carries the ode to love, written for that purpose by the famous dialect poet from Verona, Berto Barbarani, an important poet of the city who was also in love with that bridge.
